Touch Panels & Screens

The same widget dashboard that runs on your desktop and phone also runs on dedicated screen hardware: the HYTE Y70 secondary touch panel, Q-Series on-device screens, and a growing set of USB display panels driven by Nexus's streamed-panel engine. Pair a panel once and it stays in sync with your system automatically - monitoring, media, deck actions, and more rendered directly on the hardware, with no separate app to configure.

1. Where panels live in the dashboard

Every connected panel appears in the dashboard sidebar's Devices section. Opening one gives you its device page with three tabs:

  • Widgets - a live preview of the panel where you add and arrange widgets with Add Widget. See Panel Widgets & Layout.
  • Theme - background, accent color, frost, and spacing. See Panel Appearance.
  • Settings - the hardware controls for that panel, plus per-device reset options: Reset personalization (widgets, theme, uploaded media) and Reset hardware settings (brightness, orientation, screen behavior).

The full widget catalog is available on every panel, resized and reflowed for each device.

2. HYTE Y70 touch panel

The Y70's built-in screen runs the panel as a touch surface: tap, swipe between pages, and edit the layout right on the glass. Connect both of its cables - the USB cable enables touch, brightness, and screen power, and the display cable gives the panel a screen to show on. Its Settings tab includes Brightness, orientation control, Show Panel (when off, the panel is hidden and the desktop is shown instead), and Keep panel clear of other windows, which sends windows that stray onto the panel back to your main monitor. If touching the panel ever moves the cursor on another monitor, use Repair touch mapping on the same tab.

3. Q-Series on-device screens

Q-Series screens are slim display-only strips: they show one widget at a time, with no touch input. Connect the screen's USB cable and pick its widget from the dashboard. Each widget type's configuration is remembered, so switching a Q-Series screen from one widget to another and back restores how you had it. The Settings tab includes Brightness, a Screen on/off toggle, and Turn off display when PC is asleep or off.

4. USB display panels

Beyond the built-in panel hardware, the streamed-panel engine pushes the same dashboard to USB display devices: Nexus renders the panel off-screen and streams it to the device as video. These panels appear under Devices like any other and use the same widget and theme editing.

Note

Panels are configured from the dashboard; the hardware itself needs no separate companion app.

If a panel shows nothing or falls out of sync, see Panels & Screens troubleshooting.
