Y70 Touch Display Issues
For the HYTE Y70 Touch Display. Find your problem below and follow the steps in order.
The panel is black, or Nexus says "Connect the Y70's display cable so the panel has a screen to show on."
- Check the Y70's display cable is firmly connected at both ends.
- Plug it into your graphics card, not the motherboard's video port.
- Open Windows Settings > System > Display and check the Y70 is listed. If it isn't, try another port on the graphics card.
- Restart the PC.
Touch, brightness or screen power don't work
Nexus shows "Connect the Y70's USB cable to enable touch, brightness, and screen power." when it can't reach the Y70 over USB.
- Check the Y70's USB cable is firmly connected. The display cable alone is not enough.
- If it goes through a hub, plug it into a port on the motherboard instead.
- Close other software that controls the Y70, such as HYTE Nexus 2.
- Restart the PC.
The panel flickers, looks scrambled, or shows the layout sideways
- In the Y70's Settings tab, turn on Compatibility mode (Windows only).
- Still flickering? Update your graphics driver and restart the PC.
The panel shows the desktop instead of Nexus
- In the Y70's Settings tab, check Show Panel is on.
- Turn Show Panel off, then on again.
- Restart the PC.
Touching the panel moves the cursor on another monitor
Windows has linked touch to the wrong screen.
- In the Y70's Settings tab, under Touch mapping, press Repair touch mapping.
- If Nexus says "Automatic repair didn't fix it.", press Open setup wizard. Tap the panel when it shows the instructions. If another screen shows them, press Enter.
- If it happens again after sleep or replugging, repeat step 1.
The picture is upside down or rotated
- In the Y70's Settings tab, turn on Force display orientation.
- If your Y70 is mounted differently, turn it off and choose the matching Orientation.
Windows open on the panel
- In the Y70's Settings tab, turn on Keep panel clear of other windows.
I upgraded from Nexus 2
- To bring over your Y70 layout: Settings > Privacy & Data > Import from Nexus 2 (shown only when Nexus finds Nexus 2 data on this PC).
- Uninstall HYTE Nexus 2. Only one app should drive the panel.
