Q-Series Panel Issues (Q60 & Q80)
For HYTE THICC Q60 and Q80 coolers. Find your problem below and follow the steps in order.
- Cold boot = shut down the PC, switch off the power supply (or unplug it) for 10 seconds, then turn it back on. A normal restart keeps the panel powered, so it does not reset it.
- Give the panel about two minutes after any restart before you check it.
Nexus says "Panel disconnected"
- Check the Q-Series USB cable is firmly connected.
- Wait two minutes.
- Cold boot the PC.
Nexus says "Panel not responding"
- Press Repair connection.
- Wait up to a minute.
- Cold boot the PC.
Nexus says "Restart your PC to reconnect"
- Restart the PC. Windows resets the panel's USB connection only on a restart.
- Still not back? Cold boot the PC.
Nexus says "Panel app required"
- Press Open Firmware.
- Find Q60 Panel App (or Q80 Panel App) and press Install.
- Leave the PC on until the panel shows your widgets.
The panel shows THICC without the N logo
The panel should show THICC with the new Nexus N logo. Without the N, the Nexus panel app is not running.
- Wait two minutes.
- Open Devices > Firmware Updates. If Q60 Panel App (or Q80 Panel App) shows Install, press it.
- Cold boot the PC.
The screen doesn't match the preview in Nexus
- In the panel's Settings tab, check Screen is on and Orientation matches how the cooler is mounted.
- In the same tab, go to Restart panel and press Restart. It takes about two minutes and keeps your widgets.
- Cold boot the PC.
- Last resort: Factory reset panel, in the same tab. It erases the panel's widgets, theme and media, and takes several minutes.
I upgraded from Nexus 2
- Uninstall HYTE Nexus 2. Only one app should drive the panel.
- Check the panel shows the N logo. If it shows THICC without it, install the panel app from Devices > Firmware Updates.
- To bring over your Q-Series wallpapers, face and rotation: Settings > Privacy & Data > Import from Nexus 2 (shown only when Nexus finds Nexus 2 data on this PC).
